Explore the richness and diversity of the world's cultures at Brown University's Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology, located along the shores of Mt. Hope Bay. A treasure house of 100,000 fascinating artifacts from the Native peoples of the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, the Haffenreffer features four intimate galleries, a Museum Shop, and lovely grounds. Over 6,000 students from throughout New England visit annually for field trips and educational programs. Summer camps are held annually in July and public lectures, performances, symposia, festivals, and much more take place throughout the year. Admission is $3 for adults; $2 for seniors; and $1 for children 12 and under. The Haffenreffer recently opened it first satellite location on the Brown University campus, the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology at Manning Hall, which is open Tuesday - Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Museum is open during the summer months Tuesday - Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from September through May on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
